Details of FX Adept's trading strategy haven't been revealed, however, it is based on a trend following approach.
Once a trend has been identified a position in the direction of the trend is opened. Depending on the subsequent price movement additional trades in the direction of the trend or, in case of a trend reversal, in the opposite direction can be added. While this technically represents a basket approach, the EA rarely exceeds two or three simultaneously open positions.
FX Adept uses wide stop loss and take profit limits of sometimes several hundred pips, however, usually positions are closed before these limits are even remotely reached.
Based on the backtests FX Adept shows a risk-reward-ratio of about 1:1.3 which is a solid value in combination with the hit ratio of about 60%.
